Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 04, 2016 (RSCNPF): A combined coastal patrol by officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police and the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force on Monday (May 2) ended with the discovery of a large quantity of marijuana. 

During the patrol along the coastline in the Indian Castle area of Nevis, the officers came upon several bales of compressed marijuana on the beach. The bales were seized by police.  

The routine patrols along the coastline are conducted by the police and its law enforcement partners, in efforts to ensure citizen safety by combating the flow of illegal drugs, firearms and other instruments that can be used to commit crime and criminal activities.
