SKN PULSE, Sunday 1 May 2016 – 17 Degrees came alive on Saturday night as the Ms. Labour Queen Contestants took to the stage to compete in the 2016 Ms. Labour Queen Pageant.
Mas, political satire, talent and splendour were all on display as the contestants entertained the large audience on hand.
Contestants graced the stage in four judged segments namely, Promotional Speech, Creative Wear, Evening Wear and the Talent segment.
The entertainment package included King Konris who thrilled the crowd with popular hit songs like Unstoppable Force and By The Breath. The popular Green House Band out of Nevis also soothed the souls of patrons as they rendered a vast array of songs.
At the culmination of the event, the results were as follows:
#8 – Doranice Chumney – Best Promotional Speech.
#3 – Kyla Morton – Best Creative Wear
#3 – Kyla Morton – Best Evening Wear
#8 – Dovanice Chumney – Best Talent

2nd Runner Up: Ms. Lysanna Belle (Constituency #1)
3rd Runner Up: Ms. Doneisha Eddy (Constituency #7)
The Queen show served part of the Saint Kitts and Nevis Labour Party Week of Activities. The next event on their calendar is a public meeting which is to be held in Central Basseterre this evening at 8:00 (pm). This would be followed by the customary wreath laying ceremony on Monday 2 May 2916 in respect of all fallen Labour stalwarts which would then climax with the Labour Day March starting at the Patsy Allers Play Field at 9 (am). The march would travel around Basseterre and return to the starting point where addresses would be given by Trade Union Representatives and the Leader of the Saint Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas.
