BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force seemingly can’t catch a break as St. Kitts recorded its 18th homicide last night, Sunday 29th, November, 2015. Unfortunately, the streets are bloody with another body of a young man in his early twenties gunned down on King Street, near the Basseterre Police Station.
Such an incident comes just six, (6) days after the last murder on Nevis and is believed to have taken place after 10:00 (pm). Information suggest that the deceased resided in St. Kitts and while a name wasn’t forthcoming a credible source indicated that the youngster was a Nevisian from the St. John’s district. Further, this medium understands that while Emergency Medical Services were readily available at the scene, it is understood that the victim was pronounced dead.
While the total murder count in St. Kitts and Nevis increases to twenty-seven, (27) dealing with gun violence continues to be a very daunting task for the St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force especially after seizing approximately nineteen, (19), firearms to date.
SKN PULSE would like to express sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
Further information will be made available in a later publication as investigations are currently ongoing.
