Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 27, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a traffic incident that occurred during the morning commute on October 26th 2015. The incident resulted in a pedestrian being hospitalized.
Sometime after 8.00 a. m. (Monday October 26), the Traffic Department responded to a call of a Traffic Accident along the island’s main road in the vicinity of the Ferdinand’s Shop in Conaree.
The investigation has revealed that omnibus ‘HA 89’ was travelling from Basseterre towards Cayon and collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
‘HA 89’ was being driven by owner-operator Mr. Antonio Bradshaw of Atlantic View, Parson Ground Village.
The pedestrian, Mr. Lake a resident of Conaree was transported to the J. N. France General Hospital for treatment and is currently being warded.
Inspector Caines, Head of the Traffic Department, echoed a call for drivers and pedestrians to be more cautious on the roads in light of this incident.
