SKN PULSE, Thursday 17th September 2015 – For the first time in Nevis’ History since observing National Heroes Day, an official ceremony was held to unveil a mural of the nation’s fourth National Hero Sir. Simeon Daniel. A fitting gesture that brought the village of Barnes Ghaut together to celebrate their homegrown son of the soil.
The mural which was produced by the artistic Mr. Vaughn Anslyn, was revealed during an official ceremony in Barnes Ghaut, the home of Sir Daniel and the site of the mural. Present were Family representatives, members of the Nevis Island Assembly; Premier, the Honourable Vance Amory and Deputy Premier Honourable Mark Brantley as well as area representative and Opposition Leader the Honourable Joseph Parry.
The melodious sounds of string band music entertained invited guests, speakers, villagers and well wishers alike.
