While the game featured two teams with contrasting recent records, the execution of plays and strategies proved that both teams were up for the task. St. Kitts and Nevis was coming off of four wins and one draw in their last five matches while El Salvador in turn had two losses, one draw and one win in their last five battles. Playing on their home turf, the Saint Kitts and Nevis team played with confidence but was plagued with simple errors that ultimately helped El Salvador to capitalize.
